Welcome to Studio Art
I look forward to working with you throughout the school year!
Expectations: Everyone should be to class on time and have a pencil, eraser, a set of colored pencils and their daily planner. Please refer to the resource tab at the bottom of the page. You will find my course syllabus which has a course description and general classroom policies. The homework sketch schedule will also be posted under resources.

  • Demonstrate increased technical skill and craftsmanship with various art media when creating images from observation, memory and imagination. 

  • Make informed choices in the selection of materials and techniques as they relate to solving visual problems.

  • Solve visual arts problems that demonstrate skill, imagination and observation. 

  • Prepare artworks for display that demonstrate high levels of craftsmanship. 

  • Explore and expand on personal art applications through the use of available digital tools, innovative technologies and media arts. 

  • Expand visual literacy as a means to create images that advance individual expression and communication. 

  • Practice self-assessment to understand their progress and prioritize steps for improvement. 

  • Explain artistic processes form idea conception to completion of a work of art using descriptive and arts-specific terminology. 

  • Investigate and plan strategies for lifelong involvement and advocacy in the arts.
