The Ohio Improvement Process (OIP) is used across the state to facilitate improvement in instructional practices and student performance. Within OIP, there is a district leadership team (DLT) that creates a focused plan, relying on data and collaboration, in order to change adult behaviors to impact student success. Smaller teacher based teams (TBT) collect and analyze student performance data, establish expectations for implementation of effective classroom changes, and then implement and monitor the outcome of those changes.
All OIP teams follow these norms:
Be Respectful of Time
Meetings start and end on time.
Members come prepared.
Stick to the agenda.
Spend time on solutions regarding things within our control.
All Members are Equal
Listen actively to all
Engage in discussions.
State what you feel and believe without repercussions.
Remember the Human Factor
Differences in opinion are expected.
Do not take it personally.
Celebrate successes at every meeting.
